This UMD of Dune (originally planned for release in October 2005) comes from Sanctuary Visual Entertainment, who also released the 2 Disc Special Edition of Dune a few years ago.
As such, it is very similar to that release, the menus and chapter stops are almost identical (including the misspelling of Muad'Dib as Maud'Dib). The running time is same too, apart from the end credits are 10 seconds shorter, due to a media company logo being removed, which wasn't part of the original film anyway.
Due to the limited space available on UMDs, there are sadly no extras on this UMD.
The UMD was released Monday January 30, 2006, and is available to order from Amazon.co.uk. Also released on the same day is the UMD release of Blue Velvet, which David Lynch directed after Dune.
